WORLD YOUTH ACADEMY
empowering young professionals through education
CHALLENGE
The overall focus of this project was to create brand awareness through social media branding on multiple social media platforms for the academy and target more young professionals in the fields of international relations, security policy, crisis management and management & leadership.
SOLUTION
In order to launch a successful project, the first step was to understand and abide by the vision and mission of the academy, which is the creation of an equal environment for young professionals who aspire to reach their full potential and by contributing to society in innovative methods, such as education, empowerment and development of the young professionals.
In order to create an environment of inclusivity and empowerment for young professionals the decision was that we create a hashtag: #WYAcademy and every post would evolve around that hashtag, whether if it is from the academy or from young professionals. Another and most important step was to create a social media identity system from colors and typography to call to action buttons and minimal style of imagery and messaging, which would create brand consistency and brand differentiation. The creation of content in all forms was another method to analyze and check what the audience reads most, from static to dynamic types of content, such as quotes, statistics, infographics, news and article insights, posters, testimonials, and pictures of the young professionals and the training sessions.
Apart from the identity system and content strategy, the opportunities to grow the academy was to give young professionals a platform to write and express their opinions on the academy’s blog. These articles gave tons of content ideas and diverse thoughts that created meaningful debates and discussions across all social media platforms. In order to raise more awareness of the academy the decision was to create book giveaways, scholarship and internship opportunities across social media platforms through paid advertisement.
The goal was to keep it organized, informing and interesting for young professionals. The goal was to create a community and not a following. The goal was to be social and inclusive by delivering quality education and internship opportunities for young professionals that would result in their career growth in both personal and professional aspects.
